It’s a Smart Decision! We’re Almost Live!

We're Almost Live!Okay, well. We have been live for a while now haven’t we?

I’m sure you’ve noticed the changes. It’s a Smart Decision! — the blog that brings you and (so many other work at home professionals) productivity articles, tips and tools — has a new look and a whole boat load of new resources. Things like virtual productivity workshops & telecourses, coaching programs and even (yep) an online store filled with audio lessons, ebooks, and other productivity resources just for work at home professionals.

We’re adding resources that have been in the making for nearly two years. The most special of which is our new online community expressly for geographically dispersed teams, telecommuters, work at home entreprenuers — or soloprenuers, as I call them — and other “virtuals” who want to share all the ways you find balance and stave off insanity in your home office. What a great way to expand or start developing your “people network”, eh?

Consider this your special invitation to join today!

The It’s a Smart Decision! Online Community is just getting started, but you can bet people like you will make it well worth the two minutes it might take you to sign up.

  1. Hi I am a college student from trine university and I was wondering if you could help me out with a project for class. We are supposed to interview a VA and thought this would be a good way to accomplish that. If you could please answer some of these questions and get back to me asap, that would be great. Thank you.

    1. How did you decide to get into the virtual assistant business? How long has your business been in operation?

    2. What have been the greatest rewards of owning your own business?

    3. What have been the greatest challenges of owning you own business?

    4. What type of planning do you do for you business on an ongoing basis (e.g., business plan updates, marketing plans, financial planning, succession planning)?

    5. What are the two or three most important reasons for the success of your business?

    6. What advice would you give me if I were to start my own assistant business someday?

    7. What are you plans, hopes, dreams, goals for your business 5, 10, 20 years from now?

I was also wondering if you might be able to generate a list of start up costs for things like equipment, advertising, supplies or inventory. Nothing definite just some rough figures.

  2. Jeff, my apologies for the delayed reply. I traveled the majority of last week and am just now getting your message. If you still need to interview someone, I’d be happy to do so but prefer by phone. You can reach me by dialing 1.888.307.9996. I am available most mornings this week.

    Warmly,

    Nikita Devereaux
